Sunkissed is a five-piece surf-psych and indie rock band from San Francisco, blending guitar-driven nostalgia with synth-forward energy. Since their debut single "On the Sun Kissed Hills of San Francisco," they've headlined Brick & Mortar Music Hall and Bottom of the Hill, been featured in New Noise Magazine, and released tracks ranging from introspective nostalgia to raw neo-psychedelic. Live, they lean heavier and looser. For fans of Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Backseat Lovers, and Peach Pit.

Sunkissed is a five-piece surf-psych and indie rock band based in San Francisco: Calder Lund (vocals, guitar), Wenson Gan (guitar, keys), Lloyd Maza (drums), Henry Gish (bass), and Rhys Compton (guitar). The band started when a friend visiting from Toronto sat down with Lund and Gan in their San Francisco living room one afternoon. They wrote the original verse and chorus of what became "On the Sun Kissed Hills of San Francisco," a track about leaving home for a city that doesn't feel like home yet. That session led to a year of songwriting and demo recording between Lund and Gan in their Victorian flat near Haight-Ashbury, where the band still writes and records today.
Lloyd Maza joined on drums that summer. Henry Gish came on bass in October, and the group played their first house show that same month. They recorded and released the debut single in January, played their first official live show in February, and Rhys Compton joined on guitar in May, stepping on stage at Brick & Mortar Music Hall in front of a packed room. New Noise Magazine featured the band following the single's release.
Since then, the catalog has grown. "Echos" is synth-driven and up-tempo. "Ocean Breeze" hits on nostalgia and longing, the feeling of being carried somewhere you can't get back to. "Million Miles" is a rock track that moves between stripped-down sections and full-intensity moments with belting vocals and a sax solo. Live, Sunkissed has headlined Brick & Mortar Music Hall and Bottom of the Hill, with shows across the Bay Area including Berkeley, Pacifica, Santa Rosa, Daly City, and SF State. The live sets run heavier and looser than the studio recordings.
